14 karts up at Road America tonight. We missed our first practice.
Second practice went well. I think I still had my mind stuck in pageant mode from this weekend. My lap times have definitely been better, but that is okay.
I started the first heat in P4. They haven’t been doing qualifying because it gets dark earlier and it’s hard to race when it’s really dark. Instead, they are just doing a random draw for heat races. The heat went well, I ended in P7, so I only lost 3 positions, which worked out well.
I started in P11 for the second heat. This worked out well, because I was able to find someone around my speed and follow him through people and make some passes. I finished in P7, so I gained 4 positions.
I started in P7 for the feature, and stayed in P7. I had a gap between me and the kart in front of me. I also had a gap between me and the kart behind me. I was kind of just cruising, trying to get faster lap times. That was hard though, because my Micron died. I couldn’t see any of my lap times. We still finished the night in P7.

We ended today on a positive note. The only thing I had hoped would have gone differently was my lap times, but we’ll get them next week.
